Amy and Patrick lived in Lancaster, PA before having their daughter, Calla, and knew that they would some day settle down there. They had just about enough time to unpack their new home before I spent the weekend to shoot their Day In The Life. With all of their favorite things within walking distance (close friends down the street, the country's oldest farmer's market, the dog park, the list goes on...) I got to see what drew them back to this quaint city. During some of the quieter moments Calla "helped" Patrick play guitar and played with Amy as she got dinner together. Amy mentioned that since having Calla all attention goes to her and the pets don't get much attention, which I thought was funny because I saw their cat and dog insert themselves into practically every activity I witnessed. It was truly a pleasure to capture the story of the Spellman family.
Katie & Max | Wedding
Katie and Max could not have had a more beautiful day for their wedding! The Women's Club of Glenridge in New Jersey had everything from ornate old architecture with dramatic indoor light to lush, sunny gardens in every corner of the property. Then once the sun went down the celebration really got going!
Amanda, Scott, Tiffany, & River
I think one of the reasons I love photographing families so much is because I love seeing the dynamic between different people's personalities. Both Amanda and Scott are fairly reserved, but their daughter River is somehow a total ham. This was a stiflingly hot day, perfect for a dip in the pool and a run for ice cream. River was the only one the heat didn't seem to slow down.
Katie & Max
I have known these two since they started dating when we all waited tables together nearly 10 years ago. Taking their dogs, Jackson and Delilah, to the park is one of their favorite activities so it was the perfect setting for their engagement shoot. I have seen them grow over the years and I am so excited to shoot their upcoming wedding!
Amy, Billy, & Everly
This Day In The Life session in Rochester, NY with Amy, Billy, and their little girl Everly was so fun. Amy is so easy going and Billy, being a total extrovert, ensures that there is never a dull moment in their house. Even at 1 year old Everly is a total cool customer and because of that the moments between mom and daughter were sweet and subtle. Interactions between Everly and her dad were much different though with Billy having to work hard to get a reaction out of her, which provided me with plenty of silly moments. At lunch Amy admitted that having a photographer spend an entire day with them was an intimidating idea when Billy originally pitched it to her, but she was glad he talked her into it. By the time I left the next day they were texting me to come back saying that they missed my already.
